CSR basic policy
At Aohong Japan, we believe that our corporate social responsibility is to realize a sustainable society through our efforts to "contribute to curbing global warming through fluorocarbons," as outlined in our corporate philosophy. It has become clear that the recent increase in the scale of climate disasters caused by global warming has a significant impact on our lives and the security of business operations themselves. While reducing greenhouse gases is an urgent issue, the reality is that it is impossible to live without the use of fluorocarbons used in air conditioners and refrigerators and freezers. In this social environment, as a fluorocarbon manufacturer, we believe that our social responsibility to create a sustainable society of the future is to reduce the amount of new production of greenhouse gases as much as possible and to continue to reuse them without leaking or discarding them, by increasing the recovery rate of discarded fluorocarbons and promoting efforts to recycle and reuse them.

Our company is guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed upon by the international community in striving for a sustainable society. Collecting and recycling fluorocarbons is a resource recycling business that aims for zero new production.
Furthermore, in order to achieve this, we must operate our company in a gender-equal manner, with absolutely no distinction between men and women in terms of personnel affairs, while also providing flexibility in working hours that can accommodate changes in women's lives in particular and the enrichment of all employees' lives outside of work.In addition, given that corporate activities are inseparably linked to a declining birthrate and a global society, we are actively recruiting foreign employees and, similarly, through personnel affairs that do not discriminate based on nationality, we are creating a sustainable corporate culture.

Basic Environmental Philosophy/Efforts to Curb Global Warming
At Aohong Chemical Japan, we are a manufacturer of fluorocarbons, and our core business is directly linked to efforts to combat climate change. In other words, envisioning a better company and a stronger, more sustainable business means commercializing our efforts to curb global warming and devising concrete measures and actions to combat climate change.
At the 28th Conference of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol in October 2016, it was decided to reduce the total global warming potential (GWP) of HFCs, which have a high global warming potential despite having an ozone depletion potential of zero. This decision is known as the "Kigali Amendment," named after Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, where the conference was held. Rather than reducing HFCs on a volume basis, the Kigali Amendment reduces the total GWP equivalent in CO2, reducing the overall global warming impact while setting a goal of reducing new HFC production by more than 85%, nearly eliminating it altogether, by 2032.
Our company supports the principles of the Kigali Amendment and has as its basic philosophy the contribution to the realization of a sustainable society through business operations that are in line with the gradual GWP reduction schedule.
Recovery and recycling of global warming substances = Reuse of fluorocarbon resources
Aohong Japan is focusing on efforts to recover, recycle, and reuse refrigerant gases from discarded air conditioners and freezers in the city. By recovering refrigerant gases from discarded machinery, we are able to prevent the spread of global warming substances into the atmosphere, and it has been confirmed that by promoting recycling and reuse, CO2 costs can be reduced to about 1/20 of those incurred during destruction. Furthermore, the more reuse we make, the less new production of HFCs, which have a high global warming potential, can be achieved, which will help to curb the overall impact of global warming.
By 2030, 100% of the HFCs supplied to the market will be recycled.
Increase collection and recycling volumes to 800 tons/year.
Aohong Japan aims to increase the amount of HFCs recovered and recycled to 800 tons by 2030, thereby eliminating new production and ensuring that 100% of the products supplied to the market are recycled. The GWP reduction effect of reducing new production by 800 tons will be 1,672,000 CO2 kg/year.
